Dr. Beverly Zak is a native of southern California who received her M.D. degree at the University of California, San Diego. During medical school, she also completed a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences studying the molecular and biological basis of exostosis formation in Hereditary Multiple Exostoses. She came to Nashville five years ago with her husband and children and completed residency in dermatology at Vanderbilt University.
 
Dr. Zak is a board-certified dermatologist and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Tennessee Medical Association and the Nashville Dermatological Society. Trained in medical and surgical dermatology, her primary clinical interests include prevention, detection and treatment of skin cancer, geriatric dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. She has a passion for educating children about sun protection.
 
Dr. Zak is very happy to be living in Nashville and enjoys experiencing the diverse offerings of the city and surrounding areas.
